The “Talk Green Future” debate and public speaking competition—an initiative under the “Green Education Program” within the framework of the 2023–2028 Cooperation Agreement between the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and the “For Green Future” Foundation (Vingroup)—officially kicks off its third season on September 15, 2025.

Open to all high school students nationwide, the competition accepts registrations from September 15 to October 31, 2025, via its official website talkgreenfuture.net. The Grand Finale is expected to take place on January 30–31, 2026, at VinUniversity in Hanoi.

Following the success of its two previous seasons, “Talk Green Future” Season 3 continues to engage students in discussions on diverse global issues across society, economy, and the environment, aiming to inspire awareness and action for sustainable development. The competition’s topics draw inspiration from the 10 core action programs of the “For Green Future” Foundation: Green Mobility, Green Energy, Green Tourism, Green Office, Green Consumption, Green Lifestyle, Green Urban Development, Green Education, Green Healthcare, and Green Sports.

Participants may compete individually or in pairs, choosing between the Vietnamese or English divisions.

The competition consists of four rounds, organized as follows:

During the Registration Round, contestants submit:

  • For the Vietnamese division: a 300–500-word essay presenting their chosen topic.

Qualified teams will advance to the Preliminary Round, where they must submit a video presentation (up to 5 minutes) sharing their ideas or perspectives on the selected topic and send the video link via email to v.talkgreenfuture@foundationforgreenfuture.com

The Challenge Round will be held in person in Hanoi (expected January 4, 2026) and Ho Chi Minh City (expected January 10, 2026).

Notably, for the first time, the English division will introduce the British Parliamentary (BP) debate format to select the top teams for the Final Round, which will tentatively take place in person at VinUniversity—marking an exciting new feature of this year’s competition.
